In Wanhua Industrial Park in Juancheng County, the roar of machines is endless. A production line with an annual output of 300,000 cubic meters of formaldehyde-free straw particleboard is running at high speed. "At present, the project has entered the full-line trial production stage," said Liang Tongshuang, manager of the administrative personnel department of Wanhua Industrial Park.
The 300,000 cubic meters of formaldehyde-free straw particleboard project of Wanhua Hexiang Board Industry (Heze) Co., Ltd. is one of the major implementation projects in Shandong Province in 2024. It is invested and constructed by Wanhua Hexiang Board Industry Co., Ltd. and is an extension project of the industrial chain of Wanhua Ecological New Home Decoration. The total investment of the project is 719 million yuan. It started in May 2023. After a year, the first board was put into production on May 6 this year.
Green is the background color of high-quality development. For the home furnishing industry, with the improvement of safety and environmental protection standards, the demand for "zero formaldehyde" home furnishings has ushered in explosive growth, and "environmental protection" and "health" have become the key words for the development of the industry. Wanhua Hexiang Group has set its sights on green panels, using agricultural straw and small firewood, branches and wood processing residues from fast-growing forests as raw materials to process and manufacture panels. The formaldehyde-free particleboard, formaldehyde-free density board, formaldehyde-free multilayer board, decorative panel, etc. produced are widely used in civil furniture, office furniture, wardrobes, cabinets, floors and other products in the new ecological home decoration.
"At present, our technology maturity and large-scale production capacity are leading the world. We promote and implement the new national standard of ENF formaldehyde-free wood-based panels. We are the first high-tech enterprise in the domestic wood-based panel industry to achieve green and formaldehyde-free whole industry chain, integrate production, learning, research and application, and cross-industry digital integration." Ye Shiming, general manager of the Heze project of Wanhua Hexiang Board Industry, introduced. At present, the formaldehyde-free particleboard products produced by Wanhua Hexiang Group occupy 12.8% of the global market share.
It is reported that the annual production of 300,000 cubic meters of formaldehyde-free straw particleboard project can create more than 200 new jobs and is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of 450 million yuan. The commissioning of the project will further promote local industrial development, drive economic growth, and provide green home solutions for the people's better life.
