Role models inspire us to forge ahead, and examples lead the way. In order to publicize the examples of the detachment and tell the story of the detachment well, the 12th Duty Detachment of the Beijing Armed Police Corps recently held a grand award ceremony for "Excellent Squad Leader, Most Beautiful Sentinel, and Red Flag Sentinel", and invited family representatives of the award-winning officers and soldiers to step onto the podium to share the glorious moment.
In order to vigorously publicize the role models around us and use the people and things around us to inspire the enthusiasm of officers and soldiers to devote themselves to the practice of strengthening the army, the detachment selected 5 "excellent squad leaders" and 7 "most beautiful sentinels" based on the requirements of "real learning and real loyalty, real preparation and real strength, real work and real implementation, real unity and real responsibility, real supervision and real strictness" and the standards of "loyalty to the party, hard training, extreme responsibility, iron discipline, and willingness to make sacrifices".
The award ceremony kicked off with the powerful chorus of "Dare to Fight and Win".
"Next, let us walk into their memories, listen to their stories, and feel the little-known ups and downs, joys and sorrows behind their glory..." Five outstanding squad leaders and seven most beautiful sentinels took the stage one by one, using video clips to reflect their job performance in three dimensions, using award speeches to highly summarize the spiritual connotation, and using on-site interviews to gather the collective motivation for struggle, leading all officers and soldiers to understand the loyalty and dedication of the role models, feel their responsibilities and obligations, and hone their struggle and progress.
The stories told by the excellent squad leaders not only show their sincere professional ethics, but also their tenacious fighting spirit, as well as their selfless and mission-oriented patriotism. Their reports were plain, their stories were vivid, touching and inspiring. They explained the good image of excellent squad leaders in the new era from different aspects and angles, and deeply educated and inspired all officers and soldiers. Afterwards, when the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Detachment presented the trophies and certificates representing honor to the winning officers and soldiers, the audience burst into applause, pushing the atmosphere to a climax.
The arrival of the military families added a strong touch to the award ceremony. During the on-site interview, the wife of Liu Menghao, the winner of the "Most Beautiful Sentinel", called herself "half a soldier". She said: "I am a people's teacher. I have been separated from my husband for a long time. I support the family and take care of the children, while giving him spiritual support. No matter how hard or tired I am, I know that I am a soldier's wife. My husband serves the country, and I have a family!" Her straightforward and sincere words fully interpreted her inner feelings, and the audience was deeply touched.
After the ceremony, the detachment also invited the award-winning officers and soldiers and their family representatives to visit the National Maritime Museum, Eco-City Wanda Plaza and other places.
