With the arrival of the summer "exhibition fever", museums and art galleries, which are "permanent check-in spots" for tourists, have also ushered in a peak in visitor flow. Recently, Anyang Yinxu Museum and Zhengzhou Art Museum have successively cancelled the individual reservation system for exhibitions.
What are the considerations for canceling the reservation system for visiting exhibitions? Will the "circle of friends" who cancel reservations continue to expand in the future? Recently, a reporter from Dingdian News and Henan Business Daily conducted an interview.
Yinxu Museum: No reservation required + timely guidance
Meeting the needs of summer exhibitions
Starting from August 1, the Yinxu Museum has cancelled the requirement for on-site reservations for daytime visits. Visitors can purchase tickets with real names at the Yinxu Scenic Area and the Yinxu Museum’s official account to enter the museum. The method for purchasing night discount tickets remains unchanged, and group visits still require reservations.
Guo Weibing, deputy director of Anyang Yinxu Museum, told the reporter of Dingdian News and Henan Business Daily that the cancellation of daytime visit reservations is a targeted temporary measure proposed by Yinxu Museum to cope with the summer tourist flow. For the museum, the reservation mechanism can achieve the diversion of visitors by time period, avoid the situation where a large number of tourists gather in a certain time period, and to a certain extent improve the visitor experience. As for whether the reservation system will continue to be used in the future, it will be judged based on the number of tourists and the actual situation of the scenic spot.
