Hangzhou, August 18 (China News Service) (Bao Mengni, Guo Tianqi, Tang Xiaojie, and Fei Lubin) "There is a saying that little by little makes a lot. I believe that as long as we play every game well, we will get closer and closer to our ultimate goal of winning medals." Yu Deyi, a goalball athlete of the Chinese sports delegation at the Paris Paralympic Games, said.
The Paris Paralympics will be held from August 28 to September 8. On August 18, a farewell ceremony for the blind goalball players and coaches from Linping District, Hangzhou, who were leaving for the Paris Paralympics, was held at the Zhejiang Tangqi National Blind Goalball Training Base.

At the farewell ceremony, the athletes walked hand in hand and stood side by side, expressing their determination and confidence to fight for the country with full spirits and high morale.
"At this point, we are fully prepared for the tough battle!" Coach Zhang Xiaopeng has accompanied the Chinese women's blind goalball team, the "铿锵玫瑰" team, through game after game, witnessed the girls' growth every time, and understands the players' status best.
"Our technical and tactical preparations have reached a relatively stable and mature state. Judging from the recent training sessions, our overall competitive level is also quite satisfactory," said Zhang Xiaopeng.
It is worth mentioning that at this farewell ceremony, six athletes received a special gift - Dingsheng cake and its cake version.
Dingsheng cake is a traditional delicacy in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions. It is big at both ends and small in the middle, with the word "Dingsheng" printed on the surface. It is said to have been specially made in the Southern Song Dynasty to encourage soldiers to go to war, and it carries the beautiful meaning of returning victoriously.
After the farewell ceremony, the entire team immediately set off for Beijing to reunite with the main force and will fly to Paris on the 21st of this month.
It is reported that there are 21 players and coaches in the goalball project of the Chinese sports delegation selected for the Paris Paralympic Games, including 10 from Linping District, including 6 players and 4 team leaders and coaches. The project will have its first matches for the men's and women's teams on August 29 and 30 respectively. (End)
