Recently, many provinces have intensively disclosed the audit work reports on the implementation of the 2023 budget and other fiscal revenues and expenditures (hereinafter referred to as the "audit reports").
According to incomplete statistics from China News Service, at least 15 of these audit reports mentioned issues related to the medical and health sector, and some were included in special audit work. The issues mentioned include customized bidding, illegal procurement of drugs and consumables, irregular use of medical insurance funds, and excessive diagnosis and treatment.
