After entering the last of the dog days of summer, the highest temperature in Wuhan finally dropped a little. This also gave Gui Changjing and his brothers a chance to take a breath - since the peak summer, their live-line operation team has hardly had a day off. If you ask Gui Changjing, he is either at the live-line operation site or on the way to arrange the live-line operation plan.
Gui Changjing, 29, is the team leader of the live-line operation team of the State Grid Wuhan Donghu New Technology Development Zone Power Supply Company. This summer, the live-line operation team is experiencing its first peak summer, and everyone is under great pressure. This is especially true for Gui Changjing, the team leader.
The number of live-line operations has increased by 50% in the past month
"I was also very busy when I was in the power distribution repair team. After I was transferred to the live working team, I found that there is no busiest time during the peak summer period, only busier times." At around 9 am on August 14, on the side of Forest Avenue in East Lake New Technology Development Zone, Gui Changjing and his colleagues put on yellow insulating suits and three-layer insulating gloves. After completing all the preparations, they swiftly climbed onto the insulated boom truck, stood in the truck bucket and slowly rose into the air to replace the drainage wire and wire clamps on a 10 kV line, eliminating hidden dangers in line operation and ensuring stable and reliable power supply in the future.
Although the maximum temperature of the day was lower than the previous period, after Gui Changjing and his colleagues worked at high altitude for a period of time under direct sunlight, the reporter could clearly see that the small area of their clothes exposed on their backs was soaked with sweat.
At about 10 a.m., about an hour after Gui Changjing started working on the dipper, the two completed their tasks and returned to the ground. After taking off their insulating suits and helmets, the two "Minions" who were working with electricity were already sweating profusely.
"I'm used to sweating so much. It's like this every day. It's no problem." When the reporter asked Gui Changjing to change into dry clothes, he waved his hand gently: "It was still windy when I was in the sky today. I felt okay after the work." Gui Changjing told reporters that when the temperature reached 40℃ before, he felt exhausted when he got off the truck after completing the live work: "Sometimes my legs even felt weak, which was quite uncomfortable."
It turns out that during the peak summer period when the temperature is the highest, the live-line operation team led by Gui Changjing has to perform four or five live-line operations a day, and each operation lasts from one hour to four or five hours. In just one month from July to August, they completed 115 live-line operations. "Normally, I perform more than 70 live-line operations in a month. In the past month, my workload has increased by more than 50%," said Gui Changjing.
The "prospective groom" with electric soldiers repeatedly broke his fiancée's appointments
During this busy time, Gui Changjing, as the "future groom" of the family, had to temporarily cancel wedding preparations several times and devote himself to emergency work in a timely manner.
August 10th this year was the Chinese Valentine's Day. Gui Changjing and his fiancée had an appointment to try on wedding dresses together. At about 5 pm that day, just after arriving at the wedding company, Gui Changjing received a temporary notice from the company - in order to ensure the smooth construction of the 500 kV Dongxin substation project to achieve power, water, road and site leveling, he needed to rush back to the company to prepare six live-line work plans for the next day.
"This project is too important. I am a party member. When overcoming difficulties, I should put the requirements of the organization first and personal matters later." Gui Changjing said that after getting the understanding and support of his fiancée, he immediately rushed back to the unit, rushed to the site to conduct on-site investigation, and formed a written plan. At the same time, he convened all members of the live-working team to hold a construction safety and plan promotion meeting for the next day's work, and prepared all the tickets needed for the next day's on-site work.
When he returned home after finishing all the work, the clock had already pointed to 1 a.m. on August 11. "Maybe she was thinking about me all the time, and when I opened the door, my fiancée woke up." Gui Changjing apologetically gave his fiancée the Qixi Festival gift he had bought long ago, and sent her a belated Qixi Festival blessing.
At 6 a.m. the next day, Gui Changjing, who had slept for less than four hours, rushed to the work site and was busy until about 2 p.m. He successfully completed the six planned live operations ahead of schedule, ensuring normal electricity supply to 7 public transformers, 5 special transformers, 12 substations and more than 750 households.
I would rather keep the power on than let you shut down the power. Gui Changjing said that during the entire summer peak period, it was this sense of social responsibility, team cohesion, and personal sense of honor and mission that supported everyone to unite as one and work together to win the battle against the summer peak: "The theme party day activities organized by the party branch and the care and condolences of the trade union gave us confidence and strength."
More than 150 live-line operations were carried out to allow 16,900 households to undergo maintenance without being noticed
All efforts are rewarded, and all persistence is remembered. In the hot weather in July, the live-line operation team led by Gui Changjing achieved 430.77% of the second-class and above indicators of non-stop power operations, exceeding the task, and the number of operations per person and per vehicle ranked among the top in the city.
As for the "secret" that enabled his team to achieve such efficient operation in the busiest month of July, Gui Changjing said: "We strictly implement the weekly and monthly planning system, and at the same time establish a cloud database for the live operation team. All on-site survey information, weekly plans, and monthly plans are stored in this cloud database, which is updated and shared in real time to ensure the validity and timeliness of the data."
According to the State Grid Wuhan East Lake New Technology Development Zone Power Supply Company, since the beginning of the peak summer season, Gui Changjing has led team members to carry out more than 150 live operations, which not only ensured the safe and stable power supply of important livelihood enterprises in the jurisdiction, such as the Liufangyuan Pumping Station of Keling Bio-Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., the China Railway 11th Bureau Sewage Treatment Plant, and the Tangxun Lake Sewage Treatment Plant, but also ensured the line maintenance of 16,900 households in an "unaware" situation, making an important contribution to the reliable power supply in the entire region under high temperature weather.
