On the morning of August 18, the opening ceremony of the International Academic Symposium on the 50th Anniversary of the Archaeological Excavation of the Mawangdui Han Tomb was held in Changsha. At the meeting, it was announced that the documentary "Mawangdui: Immortality of Time" will be broadcast simultaneously on Hunan Satellite TV and Mango TV every Monday to Thursday at 19:30 starting from August 19.
The documentary "Mawangdui: Immortal Years" consists of 8 episodes. It was created by the original team of the documentary "China" and jointly invested and produced by Hunan Satellite TV and Mango TV and Mango Digital Intelligence Company. It focuses on amplifying elements of scientific and technological innovation, promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of cultural and museum resources, and helping cultural relics to "come alive" and "go global."
This film explores the Chinese society and pre-Han Chinese civilization in depth through Mawangdui. Using cultural relics as the medium, it progressively connects excavation, protection, research, and exhibition, and explores the historical significance behind the artifacts and crafts. Through a new shooting method that combines documentary shooting, painting and CG special effects, it fully magnifies the details and beauty of the cultural relics, and then shows China's rich material civilization and profound spiritual civilization from the Spring and Autumn Period to the early Han Dynasty. It is another beneficial attempt at "culture + technology".
