Based on the verification results, on May 26, the Wannian County Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision took detention measures against Li Peixia after obtaining approval from the Shangrao Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision and the Wannian County Party Committee, and delivered the detention notice to Li Peixia's family within 24 hours.

On June 17, the Shangrao Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision announced to the public that Li Peixia was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and was subject to disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Wannian County Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision. After Li Peixia was detained, the Shangrao Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision sent cadres to participate in the investigation and handling of the case throughout the process.
