On August 17, after nine match days in six divisions, the eight-a-side competition of the 2024 China Football Development Foundation's 41st Didi-Beijing Evening News Hundred Teams Cup Football Tournament Beijing Division came to an end. The champions, runners-up, third-place winners, top scorers, best team management and other awards in each group were decided. On the same day, grand closing ceremonies were held at Yinghai Football Theme Park and Xibeiwang Xiyuhe Village Football Training Base respectively.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the Hundred Teams Cup. The organizing committee has devoted a lot of effort to cultural communication. Since the beginning of the year, it has launched the promotion and publicity of the "Me and My Hundred Teams Cup" short film interviewing 40 people over 40 years.

These works tell the story of the deep feelings between people from different backgrounds and football, and how the Hundred Teams Cup sowed the seeds of football in different eras. They include real interviews with Chinese football predecessors, the founders and organizers of the Hundred Teams Cup, the growth trajectory of legendary stars, and the struggles of grassroots teams, which also increase the audience's emotional resonance and understanding of the cultural significance of the Hundred Teams Cup.

Before the start of this year's Hundred Teams Cup, the Cup released an official promotional video, in which seven groups of young players performed. The players in the college entrance examination group imitated Ronaldo's "siuuuuuuu" action, full of passion, bringing the audience a visual and emotional feast; the mixed-race teenagers in the U15 group adopted Son Heung-min's celebration method, and the cross-cultural display added an international touch; the U10 girl kissed her wrist gently, gently expressing her deep tribute to maternal love; the U17 teenager used the popular "Subject Three" dance to light up the diverse interests of modern youth; the U8 player cleverly linked the current hot spots of European football by imitating Mbappe's celebration action; the U13 teenager imitated the celebration action of Guoan center Fabio, expressing pride in regional and club honors; the U12 boy imitated James' celebration posture, showing the power of cross-border thinking and self-confidence.

These moments of celebration are a vivid interpretation of the confidence and open character of the new generation of Chinese football teenagers. Through such lens language and emotional expression, this year's Hundred Teams Cup cultural promotional video shows the new look of Chinese football teenagers to the society, as well as the spirit of the children who dare to show themselves and pursue excellence while enjoying the game.

In addition, this year the organizing committee specially launched the "One in a Hundred" video culture competition to deepen the cultural influence of the Hundred Teams Cup. The newly introduced "Annual Hundred Teams Cup Football Match Photography Competition", "Annual Hundred Teams Cup Football Match Short Video Competition" and "Me and My Hundred Teams Cup Essay Competition" will encourage participants to deeply explore their unique connection with the Hundred Teams Cup and create around the theme of "Me and My Hundred Teams Cup".

Each competition category has gold, silver, bronze and finalist awards. Entries can be submitted from August 8 to September 15 by sending them to specific email addresses: photography to [email protected], short video to [email protected], and text to [email protected]. This provides a stage for young people to display their talents and emotions, and adds interactivity and fun to the event.

The finalists of the "One in a Hundred" video culture competition will have the opportunity to attend the 40th anniversary award ceremony of the Beijing Evening News Hundred Teams Cup held at the Beijing Children's Palace at the end of the year. At the award ceremony, the finalists will not only be commended, but also showcase their personal talents and video perspectives through photography, short videos and text works.
