On the evening of August 17, the eleventh episode of the "Yongqingfang·Celebrity Interview" series of activities - "Art Makes People Human" was held at the Guangzhou Book Center. The event invited Zhu Xun, a well-known host of China Central Radio and Television, to the scene. She brought her book "My Art List" to share her creative experience with readers, bringing a high-quality cultural journey on a rainy night in Guangzhou, and tasting the taste of life.
The book with the same name as the variety show reappears, and the art list of "everyone" is revealed
"My Art List" was originally a talk show on CCTV-3 that was launched in 2020. It focuses deeply on the field of art and mainly presents the unique insights and personalized artistic pursuits of people from various industries and fields. In the show, Zhu Xun, through dialogue with guests, deeply explores the emotions and stories behind the works of art and analyzes the process of art quietly enriching everyone's life.
The book "My Art List" is based on a TV program and is a book of the same name. It reproduces the wonderful moments and profound insights in the program. Through classic art works recommended by 42 industry celebrities, it explores their spiritual world and cultural origins, and contains positive energy.
“The images of TV programs are fleeting, but texts have a rate of returning to the readers. I hope that through words, I can condense the artistic insights shared by the guests on the program, and let words and art permeate the hearts of readers.” At the sharing session, Zhu Xun walked off the stage, approached the readers, and shared her insights on participating in the writing of “My Art List.”
During the production of the program "My Art List", many guests left a deep impression on Zhu Xun. Among them, the "art list" of Dong Mingzhu, a well-known female entrepreneur from Guangdong, made Zhu Xun particularly emotional. "Dong Mingzhu told me at the time that her art list was the nursery rhyme "One Cent", 'I picked up a cent on the side of the road and gave it to the police uncle...' This leading entrepreneur at the helm of China's electrical appliance industry puts integrity first."
Zhu Xun shared that Dong Mingzhu also showed off her most expensive clothes outside the camera. "When I saw Dong Mingzhu showing off her most expensive clothes, which was a skirt with a retail price of several thousand yuan, I was very surprised and touched. This entrepreneur would not buy a skirt that costs more than an air conditioner. Her original intention was to enable Chinese electrical appliances to have the best core technology."
Through contact with many guests, Zhu Xun discovered that people from all walks of life have one thing in common: "The top 5% of people in each field have a pure heart like a child, clean, simple and altruistic. In addition, they all have their own artistic aesthetics." Zhu Xun believes that art can inspire people's creativity and imagination. Art and science are like a pair of hands, complementing each other and promoting people's development in many areas of society.
Continuing the Art List series, we talk to writers about their life experiences
At the sharing session, Zhu Xun revealed the variety show currently being conducted, which is a continuation of the "My Art List" series and will talk with writers about the rivers, sun and moon they write about.
Yang Zhijun, who won the 11th Mao Dun Literature Prize for his novel "Snow Mountain and Land", is one of Zhu Xun's interviewees. Zhu Xun and Yang Zhijun once crossed mountains and rivers, walked into the Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai, and came to the first bay of the Yellow River - Nv'er Bay.
Daughter Bay flows eastwards and westwards. Although the arc it flows in is beautiful, where is it going? Zhu Xun remembered Yang Zhijun's answer, "All directions are directions, all purposes are purposes, all bends are bends, and all flows are flows... On your life path, on my life path, have there ever been a straight line? Whose road is not winding, ups and downs? What makes you turn back must be along the way, it must be that you hit the wall, bend a corner and continue to move forward, this is a normal state of our lives."
At the Amnye Machen Mountain, Zhu Xun asked Yang Zhijun a question, "You used to be a journalist. If you were to interview Yang Zhijun, who won the Mao Dun Literature Prize, as a journalist, what would you ask?" Yang Zhijun responded, "What have I done for the snow-capped mountains and the earth? I have not done even one ten-thousandth of the gifts the snow-capped mountains and the earth have given me. What I can do is to return my soul and body to this land, and my heart to this land."
How to face the hurt in life, are there times when you can't get over it? At the Animaqing Mountain, which is more than 5,000 meters above sea level, Yang Zhijun and Zhu Xun said, "All good karma is to help you, and all bad karma is to wake you up. I am not afraid of betrayal or alienation, but I am afraid of destruction. When others hurt you, remember four words - don't retaliate. Because what he possesses from you is for you to destroy. If his blessings cannot control what he possesses, God will make his own arrangements."
Zhu Xun said that from "My Art List" to the subsequent series of creations, dialogues with many famous artists in various fields are the most fulfilling moments in her career. "There are three great pleasures in my life - reading good books, meeting great people, and traveling far." Zhu Xun said, "Dialogues with several great artists are like dialogues with life teachers. They pulled me out of the quagmire."
