The level of intelligence continues to improve, laying a solid foundation for coal supply
On August 7, walking into the intelligent dispatching room center of Guizhou Yuneng Xintian Coal Mine in Qianxi City, Bijie City, the real-time situation of each working face of the mine was displayed on the intelligent large screen. "In July, our commercial coal output reached more than 90,000 tons, a historical high." Zhang Gaoqing, the mine manager of Xintian Coal Mine, introduced that the mine was completed and put into production in 2014, with an approved production capacity of 600,000 tons per year.
"After investing in this intelligent system in 2017, the production capacity of our mine has been greatly improved. The underground is mechanized and unmanned mining, and the intelligent control room above the mine only needs to manually switch buttons to make these unmanned machines work, realizing the intelligent mining of coal mines, eliminating safety hazards, and greatly improving coal mine production." Zhu Zhengui, the chief engineer of the Mechanical and Electrical Department who is in charge of intelligent work, said. Originally, manual mining could only produce 50,000 to 60,000 tons of coal per month, but now with the realization of intelligent mining, it has increased to 90,000 to 100,000 tons per month. In 2023, the mine produced 811,600 tons of commercial coal, with operating income of more than 745 million yuan and profit of 256 million yuan.
The mine has won more than 80 honors including the first batch of national intelligent demonstration coal mines, national green mines, national first-class safe and efficient production mines, Guizhou Province's first "three-zone linkage" coalbed methane extraction pilot unit, and Bijie City's 5G smart mine construction demonstration unit.
The development of the energy industry is accelerated in seven aspects, including building a new comprehensive energy base, building a large-scale coal storage and distribution base in Bijie, Qianxi South and Liupanshui, and accelerating the exploration, development and utilization of coalbed methane and shale gas. Xintian Coal Mine seizes the opportunity to continue to increase production capacity and improve efficiency. It has decided to carry out a 2.1 million tons per year technical transformation project during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. At present, the preparation of the 2.1 million tons per year feasibility study report has been completed, and the expansion approval has been obtained from the Guizhou Provincial Energy Bureau. At present, the technical transformation project is progressing in an orderly manner.
It is reported that the construction period of the mine's 2.1 million tons per year technical transformation project is 48 months and is scheduled to be completed in 2026. After the completion of the project, the production capacity will increase by 900,000 tons, and the annual sales revenue of normal production is expected to increase by 675 million yuan after the project is put into production. Focusing on the main responsibilities and main business, laying a solid foundation for coal supply, and helping "rich mines and fine opening", Guizhou Yuneng Xintian Coal Mine has achieved remarkable results in coal production, gas control, development and utilization, and intelligent construction, making positive contributions to social and economic development.

As of October 2023, the city has built 36 smart mining and excavation working faces, 1 robot demonstration application project, 1 smart coal mine, and 2 5G demonstration projects. The construction of smart coal mines has continuously increased the coal production in Bijie City. Upstream and downstream industrial clusters develop resource value to the fullest

Existing coal chemical enterprises are mainly distributed in Liupanshui, Bijie and Southwest Guizhou.
In Qianxinan Prefecture, which has abundant light resources, not only does clean energy have a good development momentum, the prefecture is also rich in coal resources. The existing coal reserves are 9.083 billion tons and the prospective reserves are 20.666 billion tons, ranking third in the province. Coal and power grids are important foundations for the prefecture's industrial development and are its most prominent comparative advantages.
In 2023, Guizhou Luxing Carbon New Materials Co., Ltd., located in Qiannan Prefecture, completed an anode carbon production of 480,700 tons, 80,700 tons more than the designed production capacity of 450,000 tons, and completed sales of 580,000 tons of anode carbon, with sales revenue of 2.73 billion yuan; Guizhou Xingren Denggao New Materials Co., Ltd. produced a total of approximately 450,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum liquid, creating an output value of more than 7.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29%.
These sets of data show the good development trend of the upstream and downstream industries of aluminum and aluminum processing in the state in the past year. Coal is the first link in this industrial cluster line. Coal is converted into electricity and integrated into the local power grid, which is then transported to industrial parks to attract upstream and downstream enterprises centered on aluminum to continue to gather, eventually forming a tens of billions of industrial cluster.

Qianxi Chemical is a provincial leading enterprise in the "Thousand Enterprises Transformation" program. It mainly produces polyester-grade ethylene glycol, with an annual output of 300,000 tons of high-quality ethylene glycol. In the past year, Qianxi Chemical has continued to make efforts in system optimization, coal selection and blending, energy-saving and technological transformation, and has achieved remarkable results in "change" and "innovation". From January to July, the company's ethylene glycol production reached 168,400 tons, up 20.42% year-on-year; operating income reached 720 million yuan, up 34.64% year-on-year.

On December 21, 2023, the Guizhou Energy Group's coal-coke-chemical-electricity circular economy base project with a total investment of 19.8 billion yuan started construction in Shuicheng District, Liupanshui City. The project construction content includes 2×660,000 kilowatts of coal-fired power generation projects, 2 million tons/year coal coking projects, coke oven gas to natural gas (SNG) projects, supporting 8 million tons/year railway freight yard dedicated line projects and 2.4 million kilowatts of new energy projects.
Relevant person in charge of Guizhou Energy Group introduced that the project will ensure the supply of power coal while focusing on deep processing, focusing on promoting the construction of circular economy industries such as coal coking and related benzene hydrogenation, LNG, etc., and utilizing coal according to its quality and grade, and carrying out deep processing of chemical products, which will help build a multi-energy complementary, green and low-carbon, safe and efficient energy security system.
In 2023, the average daily raw coal output of our province will reach more than 400,000 tons, and the role of coal as a "ballast stone" for energy security will be fully demonstrated. With the leading enterprises as the driving force, our province has established Guizhou Energy Group, creating the first national clean energy supplier with assets exceeding 100 billion yuan and a first-class energy enterprise in the province, focusing on "coal electrification" to ensure supply. Relying on leading enterprises, our province has accelerated the formation of a number of coal chemical industry chains and industrial clusters, and improved industrial concentration and coupling between industries.
In May this year, the No. 1 coke oven coke of the Guizhou Mei Jin "coal-coke-hydrogen" comprehensive utilization demonstration project located in Liuzhi was successfully produced, marking the official transition of the project from the construction period to the production period and taking a substantial step towards full production.
After the project is fully put into production, it will use coal coking as its engine to produce 3.8 million tons of high-quality metallurgical coke annually. At the same time, it will link up high-purity hydrogen, LNG, synthetic ammonia, liquid carbon dioxide and other deep processing equipment, and deploy nitro-complex fertilizers, coal tar deep processing, benzene hydrogenation, pharmaceutical intermediates and other downstream projects. The output value is expected to reach 20 billion yuan.
According to relevant plans, Guizhou will continue to encourage the optimization of cross-industry and cross-regional allocation of factor resources, vigorously promote the symbiotic coupling of coal chemical industry with petrochemical industry, salt chemical industry, phosphorus chemical industry, fluorine chemical industry and other industries, and extend the industrial chain.
We strive to significantly optimize the province's coal chemical industry structure by 2025, increase the proportion of new coal chemical products to more than 50%, and basically form the coal-to-olefins, ethylene glycol and post-processing industry chain.
In June this year, the Guizhou (Shengyixin Energy) Panzhou Coal-Coking-Chemical-Integrated Energy Circular Economy Project was officially launched. It is reported that the project is invested and constructed by Shanxi Shengyixin Energy Technology Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 30.9 billion yuan, including an annual output of 15 million tons of intelligent coal mines, 3.2 million tons of coal coking, 200,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 150,000 tons of liquefied natural gas, 200,000 tons of benzene hydrogenation and other production equipment and supporting facilities. After the project is completed and put into production, the annual output value is expected to reach more than 31 billion yuan.
In the next step, the company will carefully organize and scientifically manage, and strive to build a modern coal chemical park that integrates green, environmental protection, and sustainable development. It will also extend the industrial chain, increase added value, and form driving force through the coordinated development of the three sectors of comprehensive energy base, coal coking, and logistics.
