Beijing News (Reporter Zhao Min) On the occasion of the eighth National Disability Prevention Day (August 25, 2024), Yangfangdian Street, Haidian District, Beijing, carried out publicity activities around the theme of "Preventing Disease and Disability, Sharing a Healthy Life", advocating disability prevention and health concepts to residents, calling on residents to be masters of their own lives and health, and reduce the possibility of disability due to accidents and injuries.
The Beijing News reporter learned that at the health knowledge lecture on "Common Cough Problems Care and Heimlich First Aid Maneuver", professional medical staff explained in detail the common causes of coughs, as well as the care methods for coughs caused by different reasons, and answered residents' various questions about cough care. In addition, medical staff also demonstrated and explained the operating steps and key points of the Heimlich First Aid Maneuver on site.

During the "Disability Prevention Day Rehabilitation Handicraft Activity Session", the street invited more than 20 disabled people to carry out new Chinese-style mother-of-pearl applique decoration activities, aiming to please the body and mind and improve their hands-on ability and artistic literacy.
