On the evening of August 16th, Beijing time, the 2024 Valorant Global Championship knockout round continued. The dark horse of the event, CN Division No. 3 seed TE was completely defeated by the host team DRX and failed to advance to the top six of the event.

In the map BP, TE did not choose the source industry town that they were good at, but instead chose the Lotus Ancient City. They were beaten by the opponent without any chance to fight back. There was also a clear gap between their understanding of the map in Figure 2 and that of the opponent.

After DRX won the pistol round in map 1, it was unstoppable. Except for Biank's quad kill in the bonus round, TE had a hard time finding opportunities to score. After scoring points in a row, the DRX players completely let go, played many incredible sweeps and extreme positioning, and entered the second half with a 10-2 lead. In the second half, TE still only scored points in the bonus round, and DRX won map 1 13-3.

In the first half, TE attacked B zone several times and planted a bunker, but made repeated mistakes in the bunker defense phase and was demolished by DRX, which put them in a complete disadvantage. On this offensive map, DRX's defense team took a 9-3 lead at the start.

TE was suppressed throughout the game, and their shooting skills were almost completely distorted. In the second half, DRX won the pistol round again, and TE failed to score any points in the bonus round. In the end, TE was eliminated 5-13 to DRX and missed the top six of the tournament.
