Recently, Guizhou Mobile opened a 2.6G+4.9G ultra-wideband MM site at the top of Fanjing Mountain in Tongren, at an altitude of 2,570 meters, creating the city's first 5G-A 3CC carrier aggregation demonstration area, bringing tourists an unprecedented smooth new travel experience.
5G-A stands for 5G-Advanced, which is based on the evolution and enhancement of the fifth-generation mobile communication network and is also a key stage in the development of 5G to 6G. Compared with 5G, 5G-A has higher speed, larger connection, lower latency and other characteristics. It increases the downlink rate to 10 Gigabit, the uplink capacity to 1 Gigabit, and the Internet of Things from tens of billions to hundreds of billions of connections. It also has new features such as deterministic experience, high-precision positioning, lightweight, and passive Internet of Things.

The 5G-A 3CC network deployment carried out by Guizhou Mobile on the top of Fanjing Mountain uses Huawei's 2.6G+4.9G dual-mode 64TAAU equipment to achieve 260M ultra-large available bandwidth. Utilizing the characteristics of carrier aggregation, the downlink rate exceeds 4Gbps and the uplink rate exceeds 300Mbps, providing more powerful network support for immersive application scenarios such as high-definition live broadcast, AR, and VR, allowing tourists to enjoy the beauty while feeling the convenience and surprise brought by technology.
The temperature drops by 6℃ for every 1,000-meter increase in altitude. The altitude of Fanjing Mountain is more than 2,000 meters since the cable car, and the temperature drops by at least 12℃ after stepping out of the cable car. The weather in Fanjing Mountain in summer is even more unpredictable, with the sun often shining brightly at the foot of the mountain and dark clouds on the mountain. To ensure coverage, Guizhou Mobile selected the base station in an open area on the top of the mountain, with a slope of more than 60 degrees from the stairs to the top of the mountain.

Unlike construction on flat ground, there is no way to carry out automated installation here, and the construction method can only be carried out by people on their backs. Guizhou Mobile's network construction personnel carried the equipment manually like "ants moving house", carrying the 41-kilogram AAU equipment up more than 2,000 steps.
Summer is the peak tourist season in Fanjing Mountain. To ensure tourists' experience, Guizhou Mobile conducted all-round 5G-A network optimization tests in many core scenic spots such as Hongyun Jinding, Mushroom Stone, and Pudu Square. It organized personnel to climb Fanjing Mountain five times. Through 3CC interference Buffer design, 4G evaluation frequency reduction, 3-frequency power design and tuning, 3CC beam coordination and other optimization work, the 5G-A network of the main scenic spots of Fanjing Mountain was fully and high-quality covered.
