IT Home reported on August 16 that the South Korean government recommended this week that automobile companies disclose battery information, and Tesla Korea published a list of electric vehicle battery suppliers on the website of the automobile recall center.

The list shows,The batteries used in Model 3 and Model Y come from CATL, Panasonic, and LG New Energy.；The batteries used in the Model X and Model S come from Panasonic。

According to IT Home, Mercedes-Benz and BMW also disclosed battery information on their official Korean websites this week. BMW said that among the 11 models sold in South Korea, two use CATL batteries, and the remaining nine use Samsung SDI batteries.

Mercedes-Benz said it sources battery cells from multiple manufacturers, but all electric vehicle batteries are produced by 100%-owned subsidiaries. Its battery cells mainly come from South Korea's SK on, China's CATL and Farasis, and older models use LG's battery cells.
