On the 15th, the referees for the first two rounds of the Asian qualifiers for the Chinese men's football team were all confirmed. The referee for the first round against Japan is Qatar's Jasim, who has refereed the last three games in which the Chinese national football team lost all of them.

Jasim's most recent refereeing match for a Chinese team was in November last year, when he officiated at the Chinese national football team's home game against South Korea in the 2026 World Cup Asian qualifiers. The Chinese team eventually lost 0-3. Jasim awarded the visiting team a controversial penalty shortly after the start of the game, and image data showed that South Korea's Hwang Hee-chan committed a foul by kicking someone in the Chinese team's penalty area during the process. Since there was no VAR equipment in the round of 36, Jasim's wrong judgment was not corrected in time. Prior to this, Jasim had also served as the referee for the 2019 Asian Cup group stage match between China and South Korea, as well as the quarter-final match between the Chinese national football team and Iran. As a result, the Chinese national football team lost in all these games.

As for the second round of the Chinese national football team's home game against Saudi Arabia, the referee from Tajikistan, Seduro Gulmurodhi, will officiate. Data shows that up to now, Gulmurodhi has only officiated 17 international matches and has never officiated a match against a Chinese team. Therefore, the Chinese team needs to do their homework before the game and understand this referee's officiating habits.

To this end, the Football Association has also planned to arrange some learning about the latest refereeing rules during the national football team's current training camp to prevent everyone from falling into a passive position due to the scale of penalties during the game.
