For a long time, Huangshaping Independent Industrial and Mining Area in Guiyang County has been an important industrial production base in Guiyang County and has made important contributions to the economic development of the county. However, with the gradual depletion of resources and the adjustment of industrial structure, the mining area faces many development problems.

On July 30, the National Development and Reform Commission officially issued the "Reply to the Application Report on Funding for Investment Projects within the Central Budget in 2024 for the Special Project for the Transformation and Development of Key Areas (Transformation and Development Direction of Resource-Based Areas)". Three projects, namely the relocation of residents of four villages in Huangshaping Community, Huangshaping Independent Industrial and Mining Area, Guiyang County, the renovation of houses for employees and families in four villages, and the renovation of houses for employees and families in two villages, have a total investment in fixed assets of 167.16 million yuan and received 133.72 million yuan in special funds from the central budget. This is the single project in Guiyang County that has received the most central budget funds over the years.
According to the National Development and Reform Commission's special management measures for the transformation and development of resource-based regions, regions included in the support scope can receive central budget funding for five consecutive years, and three more will be supported during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. The implementation of this project will effectively play a guiding and driving role in central budget investment, vigorously promote the transformation and development of the Huangshaping independent industrial and mining area in Guiyang County, and inject strong impetus into the high-quality development of the mining area.
The main person in charge of the Guiyang County Development and Reform Bureau said that the injection of this fund is of milestone significance for the transformation and development of the Huangshaping Independent Industrial and Mining Area in Guiyang County. The bureau will strictly follow the central government's requirements and regulations, rationally plan and use funds scientifically, and continuously promote the transformation and upgrading of the Huangshaping Independent Industrial and Mining Area in Guiyang County, and make greater contributions to promoting local economic and social development.
