In order to make full use of the convenient advantages of the Internet and further promote the development of new formats and models of drug retail, the Market Supervision Bureau of Qibin District, Hebi City recently guided physical pharmacies to set up smart terminal medicine cabinets in hospitals. By connecting the pharmacy computer management system, hospital information system, and smart terminal medicine cabinet management system, data sharing among pharmacies, hospitals, and platforms was achieved, creating a new "Internet + smart drug sales" model for the first time.
The pharmacy applied to set up three sets of smart terminal medicine cabinets in the hospital, one of which is a prescription medicine cabinet and two are over-the-counter medicine cabinets. Prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs are placed in separate cabinets. After the doctor diagnoses, he enters the smart pharmacy prescription system to prescribe. The prescription is authentic and valid. After the practicing pharmacist reviews it on site and approves it, it is pushed to the patient before the patient can pick up the medicine.
Smart medicine cabinets use images and lasers to identify drug regulatory codes, doubly ensuring accurate drug information and safe expiration dates. The pharmacy computer management system can view the temperature and humidity, drug expiration dates, and drug inventory in real time in the smart medicine terminal cabinet, ensuring that the entire purchase, sales, and inventory process is traceable and in compliance with drug business quality management standards.
The Qibin District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau requires pilot companies to strengthen their awareness of quality and risk, especially for the new retail format of smart medicine vending machines. They must promptly discover new risk points during the trial operation. At the same time, the bureau will strengthen supervision and guidance, strictly control risks, and ensure that people can use medicines conveniently and safely.
