"Like I said, I think he's ahead in almost every statistical category," Thomas said. "He's ahead of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in total points. He's the all-time playoff scoring leader. Not only that, but when I look at the assists record, I know where I am. I think he's ahead of me. I know he's ahead of Magic.

"I mean, when you talk about passing, when you talk about scoring, when you talk about rebounding, we've never had an NBA player that touches all of those statistical categories and is at the top of those statistical categories that we're talking about. There's never been a player like him. Now, everybody has their favorite player, but if the stats don't lie, the stats don't lie. And he certainly passes that test where people look. So for me, both from a team standpoint and as a basketball player standpoint, he's the best player that I've ever seen."
