Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center is located in the Convention & Exhibition New Town area of ​​Fuhai Street, Bao'an District, close to Shenzhen Airport. The Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center is a super-large convention and exhibition complex invested and constructed by the Shenzhen Municipal Government and operated by China Merchants Shekou and OCT Group. The first phase of the project covers an area of ​​1.2142 million square meters, with a total construction area of ​​1.6005 million square meters and an indoor exhibition area of ​​400,000 square meters.

The convention and exhibition center adopts an advanced "fishbone" layout and has 19 indoor exhibition halls, of which 16 standard exhibition halls adopt a single-story, column-free, large-span space design. In recent years, the Key Work Office of Fuhai Subdistrict has been dedicated to serving the exhibition and focusing on the city, promoting the integrated development of the exhibition and the city with an international perspective, focusing on implementing the state's guidelines, policies and regulations on the exhibition industry, and providing supporting services for the exhibition; assisting relevant departments in carrying out public management services such as urban management, traffic diversion, and security during the exhibition; coordinating and promoting industrial upgrading and economic development around the International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Coincidentally, in order to provide more intimate services to major exhibitions, the first community-level international volunteer service team in the district came into being in Fuhai. 70% of the volunteers are familiar with at least one foreign language and can provide exhibitors and visitors from all over the world with venue guidance, translation assistance, traffic diversion, simple medical services and other volunteer services. In addition, the Joint Party Committee of Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center was officially established in July this year, which will aggregate the advantageous resources of all parties to promote the optimization of the exhibition area and inject "red kinetic energy" into the exhibition industry.

Under the strong support of Fuhai Subdistrict, 59 exhibitions and events such as the Provincial High-quality Development Conference were successfully held here, with a total exhibition area of ​​about 2.659 million square meters and more than 2.1 million visitors.
