On August 14, reporters learned from a press conference held by the Information Office of the Guizhou Provincial Government that the 2024 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week (hereinafter referred to as "2024 Exchange Week"), co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guizhou Province, will be held from August 20 to August 25 at the permanent venue of the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week in Gui'an New District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province.

The theme of the 2024 Exchange Week is "Deepen educational cooperation, promote cultural exchanges, and work together to create a better future." About 70 activities of various types will be held. Among them, more than 40 supporting activities are planned to be held during the opening period, and other activities will be held throughout the year. This year's activities are characterized by closely following the theme of cultural exchanges, innovatively setting up special courtesy countries for the Exchange Week, highlighting the "education +" project design, and better serving the high-level opening and high-quality development of our province.

Closely follow the theme of cultural and people-to-people exchanges.Focusing on the project topics of the China-ASEAN People-to-People Exchange Year such as "Youth Journey", "People-to-People Harmony", and "Gathering Wisdom and Cultivating Talents", and with major national diplomatic activities such as the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, the China-Cambodia People-to-People Exchange Year, and the China-Laos Tourism Year as the focus, the main line of people-to-people exchanges will run through the entire process, earnestly implement the cooperation initiatives of the China-ASEAN (10+1) Leaders' Meeting, hold the "China-ASEAN Thousand Schools Conference" at a high level, comprehensively demonstrate and continue to deepen the fruitful results achieved in the field of people-to-people exchanges between China and foreign countries during the Exchange Week, and continue to build Guizhou into an important fulcrum for exchanges and cooperation in the field of people-to-people exchanges between China and ASEAN.
