In the midsummer carnival, the highly anticipated 2024 Weifang New Youth Music Festival was held at the Fuyanshan Kite Flying Field in Weicheng District, Weifang City from August 10 to 11. Weifang Unicom is doing its best to "escort" the network and fully guarantee the "Kite City" with the highest standards and the best services.
The festival lasted for two days, with a peak of more than 30,000 people on a single day. The scene was bustling and lively, with tens of thousands of fans having a blast, eager to share the latest news on the scene through their mobile phones, and spreading their excitement on social media as soon as possible. Unicom users enjoyed a high-quality network experience during live broadcasts, payments, posting on Moments, and calls. They could send videos, live broadcasts, and take photos in seconds without lag. Fans said that Unicom's 5G signal was very powerful.
In order to ensure smooth network during the music festival, Weifang Unicom Weicheng Branch actively invested in network security. First, it began to prepare for the security work two weeks before the music festival, actively connected with the organizer, and tested the network conditions of the event site and surrounding roads in advance. After 3 rounds of field surveys and 4 plan revisions, the security plan was determined; second, the ticket gates, auditoriums and surrounding sales areas were optimized and debugged; third, 14 5G communication base stations and 29 4G communication base stations were temporarily deployed on site, as well as two emergency communication vehicles and one emergency power generation vehicle, which greatly improved the network operation capacity; fourth, the background adjusted the base station parameters in time and optimized the network layout. A total of 26 people were dispatched for the communication security of this music festival. They worked together to realize 24-hour on-duty monitoring such as site duty, line inspection, alarm fault monitoring, and dynamic monitoring of the number of KPI indicators, and made full professional rapid response, timely handling of various emergencies, and ensuring the user perception of the music festival site, surrounding main roads and parking lots. During the security period, the base station was in normal status, all wireless indicators were stable, there was no traffic congestion, and all communication guarantee tasks were successfully completed, which was highly recognized by the event organizer.
