On the afternoon of August 14, Zhai Zhigang, a special astronaut from the Chinese People's Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade, came to Chongqing and answered questions and resolved doubts for the contestants of the 8th National Youth Drone Competition in a humorous way.

At the exchange event, contestants from Liangtian Town Central School in Zhenning Buyi and Miao Autonomous County, Guizhou Province and Coral Experimental Primary School in Chongqing, visited the Science and Technology Museum of Coral Experimental Primary School with Zhai Zhigang.

Throughout the visit, Zhai Zhigang was surrounded by contestants. When asked by the children, "How do you drink milk in the space capsule?" Zhai Zhigang made a squeezing motion with his hands and matched his facial expression of drinking water, and gave the answer with vivid and interesting language and body movements.

Every question is a seed that will grow into a towering tree one day. At the end of the tour, a child "stopped" Zhai Zhigang, who was about to get on the bus to leave, with a question. Zhai Zhigang also stopped and answered the questioner's question seriously.

"I am very excited and happy to see Uncle Zhai. Through this visit and study, I will have more motivation and confidence to learn aerospace-related knowledge." Pan Zixuan, a contestant from Liangtian Town Central School in Zhenning Buyi and Miao Autonomous County, Guizhou Province, told reporters excitedly.

It is reported that this exchange activity is a warm-up for the upcoming 2024 China Aviation Science Popularization Conference and the 8th National Youth Drone Competition series of activities.

The conference is themed "Pursuing Dreams in the New Era of Aerospace, Shining in the Mountain City towards the Future". The main contents include: the opening ceremony of the conference, the 8th National Youth Drone Competition, the China Aviation Science Popularization Conference Series Forum, the 2024 China Aerospace Science Popularization Exhibition and China (Chongqing) Low-altitude Economic Industry Expo, Children's Creation in Aerospace-National Children's Creative Exhibition, the 2nd China (Chongqing) Aerospace Business Travel Culture and Consumption Festival and Liangping branch venue. Seven series of activities, more than 100,000 people from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions across the country participated in the activities.
