According to Fast Technology on August 15, blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 flagship (vivo X200 series, OPPO Find X8 series) will be released earlier than the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 flagship, and both are scheduled to be released in October.
It is known that Snapdragon 8 Gen4 will be unveiled on October 21, which means that the vivo X200 series and OPPO Find X8 series will be released before October 21, while the Xiaomi 15 equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen4 will be released after October 21.
It is reported that MediaTek Dimensity 9400 will first adopt the Cortex-X925 super core, which is an upgraded version of the X4 super core. Its single-core performance is improved by 36% and AI load is increased by 41%.
In terms of graphics, the Dimensity 9400 uses the Immortalis G925 GPU, which Arm calls the most powerful and energy-efficient graphics processing unit currently available.
According to the running score data that has been exposed, the single-core running score of Dimensity 9400 is around 3000 points, which is on par with Apple A17 Pro, and the multi-core running score exceeds A17 Pro, setting a new record in performance.
At the same time, Dimensity 9400 adopts TSMC's 3nm process for the first time. It is MediaTek's first 3nm mobile phone chip, marking that the Android camp has officially entered the 3nm era.
It is worth noting that the price of Dimensity 9400 will increase. MediaTek CEO Cai Lixing once revealed in a conference call that the average selling price of the Dimensity 9400 chip will exceed that of its predecessor.
