Red Net Time News August 14th(Reporter Chen Zonghao, correspondent Zhou Chengpenggui) "Safety officers at each guard point and target reporting officers in the target trench should take cover and be ready to shoot!" On the morning of August 13, the Nanyue District People's Armed Forces Department of Hengyang City organized officers, civilian personnel and militia to carry out live-fire shooting assessments in hot weather.
"After the rain, the sky cleared up and the hot and humid weather is like a big steamer. In the live-fire shooting assessment, everyone must overcome the influence of bad weather, cultivate a strong work style, organize tightly, pay attention to safety, and perform at a high level." Before the assessment, He Heming, political commissar of the Nanyue District People's Armed Forces Department, used a brief and powerful mobilization to encourage everyone to get good results.
After the test site is set up according to specifications and the guards, safety officers, ammunition launchers, mechanics, and target reporters arrive at the designated locations, all participating militiamen will start the shooting test according to pre-grouping. Each shooting position is equipped with a safety officer to observe in a timely manner, correct shooting postures, and eliminate gun malfunctions to ensure the safety of the shooting test.
"Shooter No. 1, occupy target position No. 1, shoot target No. 1. The rest of the shooters will follow suit and advance toward the shooting ground line..." The on-site commander Duan Peng issued an order, "Load in prone position and start shooting." The shooting range was suddenly filled with gunfire and smoke.
Following a series of commands, the reference militia ran into battle in formation order, obeyed orders, lay down, loaded ammunition, aimed, and fired. Their movements were completed in one smooth go, and bursts of crisp gunfire resounded over the shooting range.
Afterwards, the officers and civilian staff of the People's Armed Forces Department went to the shooting range and completed the live-fire pistol shooting assessment.
The entire assessment lasted more than two hours. The candidates obeyed orders and followed instructions. Although they were sweating profusely, everyone was fully committed to the assessment. The scene was orderly and demonstrated the excellent skills and heroic and tenacious fighting style of the Nanyue District militia detachment, further strengthening their fighting spirit and honing their actual combat capabilities.
