The $10,000 USD DLC "Shadows of the Golden Tree" speedrun competition organized by "Elden Ring" speedrunner Distortion2 has ended. The final winner received a prize of $4,000 USD.

The goal of this competition is to defeat all major DLC bosses and the "Mad Dragon" Beile as quickly as possible, using only DLC weapons and keeping the level at level 1, and only after defeating the boss can the shadow tree level be increased once. All contestants can only use pre-provided character archives and can use some small loopholes, of course, not too many loopholes are allowed - because the main purpose of this speed pass competition is to encourage speed passing "Golden Tree Shadow" in an interesting way.

Organizer Distortion2 announced in the speedrunning Discord chat channel that the winner was Spicee, who beat second-place Blanix in the "final hours" of the race. His final time was 1:14:41, while the second-place time was 1:17:05.

The competition this time was very fierce. Most of the participants were players who were very familiar with the game. The slowest speedrun was only 1 hour, 29 minutes and 14 seconds.

All of Spicee's speedruns, including the winning one, were streamed live, and he used the "Kaishakatsu" amulet (which increases damage after a critical hit), as well as the Rakshasa Blade, the Flame Flask, the Multi-Shot Crossbow, and a number of throwing items.
