Many tourists reported on social media platforms that the cable car to the West Peak of Mount Huashan was suspended for a period of time on August 13, and a large number of tourists were stranded, so that some tourists had to walk back from the West Peak of Mount Huashan to the North Peak and then go down the mountain.

In the end, all the tourists went down the mountain safely.

Huashan Scenic Area Management Committee staff told reporters that the cableway was indeed suspended on the 13th, and the details of the suspension are currently under investigation. In addition, the scenic area has registered some stranded tourists and will refund their tickets after the information is verified. The refund includes the cableway ticket and the scenic area ticket.
