In the eyes of teachers, they are students, 20-year-olds who have no experience in the world; but in the fiery military camp, they are fearless college student soldiers! The reporter learned from Beijing University of Chemical Technology that since 2005, more than 700 college students from the university have entered the military camp.
From August 3 to 9, teachers and students from Beijing University of Chemical Technology went to Yadong, Linzhi and other places in Tibet to visit seven college students who had joined the army. Since 2016, 21 college students from the university have successively served in Tibet from the capital.
After traveling for more than 5 hours from Lhasa, crossing more than 460 kilometers of plateau snow-capped mountains, and passing through a muddy and winding path, everyone finally arrived at the target station. The predecessor of the stationed troops was the "battle model" Red 9th Company that came out of Jinggang Mountain and gave birth to the "three no" spirit.

From the Baihaba Border Defense Company, the first outpost in the northwest, to the front line of combating drug trafficking and smuggling on the China-Myanmar border, from the turbulent South China Sea defense line, to the Northeast Plain with white mountains and black waters, to the high-altitude, cold and oxygen-deficient snowy plateau... Wherever the college student soldiers go, the school teachers follow them to visit the students. "Send the soldiers away, but never let go", this is the promise that the school has been committed to fulfilling for more than ten years.
Among the teachers and students who went to Tibet to observe the soldiers, three had military experience. "We returned to the 'Blowing Horn Company Camp' and lived, ate and trained with the soldiers on the front line of the border defense in the high altitude and oxygen-deficient environment. This is another kind of education for teachers," said Wang Zilin, who once served in a unit of the Joint Logistics Support Force and is now a part-time cadre of the school's armed forces department.
Among all the methods of conscription propaganda and mobilization, the most vivid and powerful propaganda content is for college student soldiers to achieve good development themselves and play a role model.
