The 24th Miss Chinese Universe Shanghai Finals, hosted by the Miss Chinese Universe Organizing Committee and co-organized by Yimeixingteng Culture, was grandly held at Suning Bellagio Hotel. The event brought together distinguished guests from across the Taiwan Straits, celebrities, and well-known media to witness the ceremony.
The contestants came from major cities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. After rounds of selection, 50 high-quality contestants with both knowledge and beauty successfully advanced to the finals of the Shanghai competition area. All the shortlisted beauties appeared in elegant evening gowns. Every graceful turn and every moving look back attracted cheers and praises from the audience. The youthful, beautiful and sexy swimsuit show, the beauties fully demonstrated their perfect bodies on the stage, and the question-and-answer session showed their rich knowledge and wisdom.
The contestants competed in four major parts: evening gown show, swimsuit show, quiz and gorgeous cheongsam show. The contestants were scored by 12 professional judges including the organizing committee, entrepreneurs, on-site champion judges, guest judges and entrepreneur representatives.
Finally, contestant No. 07, Chen Jianing, a 175cm tall Australian Chinese from Hangzhou who graduated from Beijing Film Academy, won the championship of the competition. Contestant No. 47, Ding Yuqian, from Shanghai who graduated from Oxford University, won the runner-up and the Miss Photogenic Award in the 2024 finals. Contestant No. 15, Zhao Yuanyuan from Suzhou who studied at Shanghai Theatre Academy, won the third place and the Smile Charity Ambassador. Congratulations to the three contestants for winning the first, second and third place, and they will represent the Shanghai Division in the national finals.
The Miss Chinese Universe is a highly anticipated top international beauty pageant for overseas Chinese and international students. It was registered and founded in Australia in 2002.
