As water sports become more popular around the world, the market demand for sports equipment such as surfboards continues to grow. Many water sports equipment companies in Weihai, Shandong Province are working at full capacity to rush to complete export orders.
Yue Zhanling, financial manager of Weihai Boston Yacht Co., Ltd., said that since the beginning of this year, the company's sales of surfboards, inflatable cushions and other products have reached about 22 million yuan, and are exported to Germany and the United States.
Weihai, Shandong, is known as the "fishing tackle capital of China". While developing the fishing tackle industry, the local area has also developed the water sports equipment industry. The surfboards, paddle boards and other products produced are hot-selling at home and abroad. According to statistics from Weihai Customs, from January to July this year, 246,000 surfboards were exported from Weihai Port, a year-on-year increase of 36.4%.
It is the peak season for surfboard exports. Weihai Customs has promoted the application of the "advance declaration" model to provide companies with appointment customs clearance services, shortening the export customs clearance time to 1.5 hours, allowing surfboards to "rush" faster on the way to the sea.
