Wuxi Stele Forest Scenic Area is located in Qiyang City, covering an area of ​​16 hectares, with 505 historical and cultural steles from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, and Republic of China periods. In history, many literati and poets passed by here, sitting quietly on the steep cliffs, watching the fishermen cutting their boats and the water and sky blending into one.

Wuxi Stele Forest is especially famous for the "Ode to the Restoration of the Tang Dynasty" written by Tang Dynasty poet Yuan Jie and calligrapher Yan Zhenqing in large regular characters. Because of the unique text, characters and stones, it is known as the "Three Wonders of Cliff Carvings". It is the best of the "Three Wonders" in China and is well-known at home and abroad for its ancient age, large stele surface, large number of characters, wonderful calligraphy, unique articles and complete current status. Wang Shizhen of the Qing Dynasty praised: "The best landscape in Chu is Xiaoxiang, and the best landscape in Xiaoxiang is Wuxi". In 1988, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Tao Zhu, a party and state leader and a long-tested proletarian revolutionary born in Qiyang, the scenic area added a bronze statue of Comrade Tao Zhu and the Tao Zhu Memorial Hall, making the Wuxi Stele Forest Scenic Area integrate historical relics and revolutionary relics into one park. The Wuxi Stele Forest is now a national key cultural relic protection unit, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, a national national defense education demonstration base, a provincial scenic spot, a Hunan Province patriotism education base, an advanced base for the ideological and moral construction of minors in Hunan Province, and a Hunan Province clean government culture education base.
