[CNMO Technology News] Apple unexpectedly launched the latest beta versions of its fall operating systems earlier than expected, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11 and visionOS 2.

The sixth beta follows the fifth, which was released on August 5, while the fourth was released on July 23. Although Apple released minor updates to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 on July 26, the third beta was first launched on July 8 and updated for macOS Sequoia on July 10, followed by a re-release of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia betas on July 15.

The beta is available for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and visionOS 2.

Apple is also running another set of developer betas for its fall operating system updates at the same time, which applies to iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1.

The fifth beta adds distraction controls that allow users to remove unnecessary elements from web pages, and also makes improvements to the Photos app, including the removal of the carousel view.

The fourth round of iOS 18 betas includes new Control Center changes, refinements to flashlight controls, new CarPlay wallpapers, and updates to background graphics.

The third round of iOS 18 betas changes dark mode icons, updates flashlight controls, and hints at new Home devices.
