Xinhua News Agency, Shanghai, August 12 (Reporter Gong Wen) The reporter learned from the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission that Shanghai Xinkong Helicopter Co., Ltd. recently piloted a two-way low-altitude taxi passenger service from Pudong International Airport to Kunshan City Terminal, which will greatly shorten the commuting time between the two places and make people's travel more convenient.

According to estimates, it used to take 4 hours and 30 minutes to depart for a domestic flight from Kunshan, Jiangsu to Pudong International Airport, and 5 hours and 30 minutes to depart for an international flight. The opening of the low-altitude passenger route has greatly shortened the departure time to only 1 hour and 30 minutes for domestic flights and 2 hours for international flights. It is expected that the route can carry 20,000 to 30,000 passengers per year.

Low-altitude passenger transportation is an important part of the low-altitude economy. Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission, Civil Aviation Administration of China East China, Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, Shanghai Airport Group and other relevant units actively promote operating service companies to open low-altitude routes in the Yangtze River Delta region, promote the high-quality development of Shanghai's low-altitude economy, and further coordinate the integration of the low-altitude economic industry in the Yangtze River Delta region.

In the future, Shanghai will continue to expand the coverage of low-altitude routes, open low-altitude routes from Shanghai to Taicang and Wujiang in Jiangsu Province and other areas in the Yangtze River Delta region, as well as open low-altitude tourism routes within the city such as Pudong International Airport to Baoshan Shanghai International Cruise Tourism Resort, increase policy support, and inject new impetus into the development of the low-altitude economy.
