In this comparison of the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Deluxe and Nectar Premier Copper Mattresses, we’ll take a closer look at the inside of each brand’s top-of-the-line cooling beds to help you pick the right one for your sleep needs and budget.

Of course, there are some key differences, like price. At full price, the Aurora Deluxe starts at $600 less than the Premier Bronze, but the current 40% discount on the Nectar actually makes many sizes of the Nectar mattress more affordable.
Let's take a closer look at how these top cooling mattresses perform, and what kind of discounts we can expect from each brand during this year's Labor Day mattress sales and deals.
Although the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Deluxe starts out with a lower MSRP, the Nectar Premier Copper becomes the cheaper option as you get larger in size. At full price, the difference between the two is minimal when we get to the queen size, with the Brooklyn Bedding at $2,265 and the Nectar at $2,249.
However, it’s best not to worry too much about the suggested retail price, and pay more attention to the after-sales price, because both brands have sales activities all year round.
Brooklyn Bedding has a mattress sale, which means you can always get it 25% to 30% off full price. As we wrote this, all sizes were 25% off, and with code SUMMER25, the queen size dropped to $1,698.80, including the cooling cloud pillow top (more on that later).
However, this isn't the biggest discount we've seen. The Aurora Deluxe is sometimes discounted by 30%, and you can get a queen-size mattress for $1,305.50. If you're not in a rush to buy a new mattress, you may want to wait and save more.
There are always monthly Nectar mattress sales offering discounts, but Premier Copper usually offers either 25% off and a free bedding set, or 37% off and a deeply discounted bedding set.

In our guide to the best hybrid mattresses, the Brooklyn Mattress Aurora Deluxe is, as its name suggests, a luxurious mattress that uses a combination of springs and foam. The mattress is topped with a GlacioTex smooth-weave cooling cover; GlacioTex is a technical fabric known for its ability to keep sleepers cool.
Next up is the optional Cloud Pillow Top, which adds more cooling fibers and extra comfort, followed by a layer of CopperFlex foam. As the name suggests, this foam is infused with copper for enhanced temperature regulation and antimicrobial properties.
The Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Deluxe is available in three firmness levels – soft, medium and firm. The option you choose will create subtle differences in the layers that follow.
We’re focusing on the medium firm here, which includes two inches of medium memory foam and one inch of gel swirl memory foam.
Below that, you’ll find an eight-inch layer of individually encapsulated coils, which puts sturdier coils around the edges for extra support. Finally, there’s a high-density foam base.
The Nectar Top Copper Mattress is made up of five layers. The polyester blend cover made of polyethylene and copper fibers is cool to the touch and is designed to help dissipate heat.
Just below this lies a four-inch layer of high-density gel memory foam infused with phase-change materials. These are designed to adapt to your body temperature to keep you cool while the foam molds to the shape of your body.
Below is a one-inch layer of soft transition foam, followed by eight inches of individually wrapped innerspring coils with reinforced edge support. At the bottom is a layer of high-density support foam and an anti-shift lower hood with a handle.
In our Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Deluxe mattress review, we tested the medium-firm mattress and rated it 5/10 in terms of softness. It's a good choice for side sleepers, with plenty of comfort and a nice sink. Adding the cloud pillow top provides a more undulating, soft, and springy padding surface that's even more supportive of pressure points.
The Aurora Luxe's medium-premium memory foam does a great job of keeping the spine from moving out of its normal position, but it's contoured enough to relieve pressure points. For side sleepers, it feels like a dream, conforming to the body and cushioning the hips and shoulders.
Back sleepers should also appreciate its medium firmness. We rate the Aurora Luxury as one of the best mattresses for back pain relief because all the foam and springs in it help prevent pain.
In our review of the Nectar Premier Copper mattress, our testers considered the Nectar Premier Copper mattress to be an excellent mattress for side sleepers as well. While it is available in an all-memory foam version, we’re focusing primarily on the hybrid version here.
Many of the best mattresses for side sleepers are hybrids, with a combination of foam and springs that provide the ideal level of support and comfort. We gave the Nectar mattress a 6/10 for its foam that adapts to the contours of the body, providing cushioning and pressure relief for the hips and shoulders.
The Top Copper mattress does take a little time to ‘break in’ to provide the ideal contour, but once that was done, our tester found it to be very suitable for side sleepers.
The Aurora Luxury and the Premium Copper mattresses offer cooling in slightly different ways, and they both earn a spot in our guide to the best cooling mattresses The Aurora Luxury has a GlacioTex cover that’s designed to be cool to the touch and remove excess heat from the mattress surface.
It does an excellent job of temperature control, but it's a little annoying because its smooth surface often causes fitted sheets to slide on it. The Aurora Luxe also uses dynamic cooling foam and copper- and gel-infused memory foam.
The Nectar Supreme Copper Edition mattress cover does an excellent job of cooling down sleepers, being made from a blend of polyethylene and copper that makes it very cool to the touch.
