From August 10th to 11th, the Hunan leg of the 2024 "National Fitness and Olympics" National Badminton Level Competition came to an end at the Leyun Rubik's Cube Badminton Hall in Changsha County, with more than 600 players participating in the competition.

The National Badminton Level Level Competition is divided into groups based on level, replacing the previous grouping by age with level as the grouping basis, integrating badminton competition, challenge competition and parent-child competition. The competition is divided into four groups, namely, level 4 to 9 group (adult group), children level 1 to 3 group, children level 4 to 5 group, and children level 6 to 7 group. Each group has two events, men's singles and women's singles; the challenge competition and the parent-child competition do not distinguish between groups. The challenge competition has three events: best landing point, fastest pace, and knowledge expert; the parent-child competition is a parent-child puzzle, allowing parents and children to understand the sports level together. Honorary awards can be obtained by passing all the challenge and parent-child competitions.

It has been five years since the Chinese Badminton Association launched the badminton level rating system nationwide in 2019. So far, nearly 100,000 adults and young people have participated in it. Based on the rating system, the rating competition is divided into four stations and held nationwide. After the Beijing station in July came to a successful conclusion, it came to Changsha, Hunan on August 10.

In addition, after the opening ceremony of the Hunan leg of the first National Badminton Sports Level Grading Competition on August 10, the 2024 Hunan Testing Institutions Seminar and the 2023 Hunan Testing Institutions Commendation Conference were also held at the same time. Relevant leaders of the Chinese Badminton Association and the Hunan Badminton Association and outstanding testing institutions in Hunan Province jointly made a phased summary and future development plan for the badminton sports level grading and grade competition in Hunan Province.
