The Guangdong college entrance examination admission ended on August 11. As of now, the admission information announced by three key universities in the province, including the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Shenzhen University, and Shantou University, shows that the quality of students has steadily increased and is favored by graduates from many key high schools in Guangzhou.
CUHK-ShenzhenIn 2024, Shenzhen University enrolled 5,266 students in Guangdong Province, and the "small-category enrollment" continued to receive praise. Nearly 70% of the professional admission lines were higher than last year, and the professional volunteer satisfaction rate reached 96%. The highest score in physics was 635 points, the lowest score was 588 points, the average score was 605 points, and the lowest score ranking increased by 2,585 places. Computer, financial technology, electronic information, automation, mathematics and applied mathematics and other majors are very popular. The highest score in history was 612 points, the lowest score was 574 points, the average score was 586 points, and the lowest score ranking increased by 455 places. Most of the freshmen came from well-known key middle schools across the country. Guangdong Guangya Middle School, Guangzhou Zhixin Middle School, Guangzhou No. 5 Middle School, Guangzhou No. 2 Middle School, Guangdong Zhongyuan Middle School, Guangdong Experimental Middle School, Guangzhou Zhenguang Middle School, Guangzhou Tieyi Middle School, Guangzhou No. 6 Middle School, etc., all had more than 20 people admitted.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen revealed that the school has become the university with the highest admission score in Guangdong Province for the ninth consecutive year. The physics and history categories continue to rank first among the famous universities in the province, and the provincial rankings of admission have both reached new highs. Among them, the lowest score of the general category (physics) of the professional group of the colleges and universities admitted in Guangdong Province in advance was 666 points (the lowest ranking was 902), ranking in the top 0.20% of the candidates in the province for physics, and ranking within the top 1,000 in the province. The lowest score of the general category (history) was 634 points (the lowest ranking was 410), ranking in the top 0.15% of the candidates in the province for history, and ranking within the top 500 in the province. 14 and 12 students from Guangdong Guangya Middle School and the Affiliated Middle School of South China Normal University were admitted to the school respectively.
This year, Shantou University plans to enroll 3,663 students in Guangdong Province, and the actual number of admitted students is 3,703, exceeding the enrollment plan. The admission scores and minimum rankings of Shantou University in Guangdong Province remain stable, and the quality of students is steadily improving, continuing to maintain a good trend. It is reported that 24, 14, 12 and 11 students from Zengcheng Middle School in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, Xiuquan Middle School in Huadu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Zhongyuan Middle School, and Xiangxian Middle School in Panyu District, Guangzhou were admitted to the school respectively. In addition, 10 students were admitted from Guangzhou Peiying Middle School and Guangzhou Zhenguang Middle School respectively.
