The reporter learned that Beijing Bayi Experimental School will be officially put into use on September 1, and 349 junior high school students will enter the school. At the same time, 70 high school students will enter the main campus of Beijing Bayi School (Haidian Campus).
It is reported that the Beijing Bayi Experimental School project is a renovation and expansion project based on the original scale of Kangzhuang Middle School. After completion, more than 1,000 new places will be added and it will be hosted by Beijing Bayi School. This project is a key construction project in Beijing. After the school is completed, the total construction area will reach 50,704 square meters, and the school scale will increase from the original 12 classes to 42, including 24 junior high school classes and 18 senior high school classes, which will further optimize the layout of basic education facilities in Yanqing District.
The brand-new teaching building is mainly in gray and red tones. The school is equipped with a lecture hall that can accommodate 500 people, a cafeteria that can accommodate 700 people at the same time, a dormitory building that can accommodate 800 people, a gymnasium of more than 1,000 square meters, an underground parking lot with 80 parking spaces, an open comprehensive library, etc.
The reporter learned that the Beijing Bayi School currently integrates primary school, junior high school, high school and international department. It also hosts the Yuquan Middle School affiliated to the Bayi School and the Beijing Bayi Experimental School. With one school and six locations, it forms the Beijing Bayi School Education Group.
Zhang Shuqing, director of the Yanqing District Education Commission, revealed that the group school management system will be improved simultaneously in the second half of this year. Focusing on giving full play to the radiation and driving role of high-quality schools in urban areas, large schools in urban areas, and high-quality schools in Sichuan and mountainous areas, we will explore ways to break down inter-school barriers in educational resources such as teachers and venues, and further promote the high-quality and balanced development of regional education.
