Colorful Guizhou News (Reporter Yang Changding) Recently, the reporter learned from the Guizhou Provincial Communications Administration that in accordance with the "Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China", "Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China", "Telecommunications Regulations of the People's Republic of China", "Telecommunications and Internet User Personal Information Protection Regulations" and other laws and regulations, and in accordance with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Notice on Further Improving the Mobile Internet Application Service Capabilities" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Letter [2023] No. 26) and other work arrangements, the Guizhou Provincial Communications Administration continues to carry out special rectification actions for APPs that infringe on user rights. As of the time limit specified in the notification, after verification and re-inspection, there is still one APP that has not completed the rectification feedback as required.
In order to seriously deal with the violations of the above-mentioned APPs, the Provincial Communications Administration has decided to remove the above-mentioned APPs from the shelves. Relevant application stores should immediately organize the removal of the APPs on the list, learn from the incident, investigate the developers and operators of APPs that have repeatedly had problems, strictly implement the main responsibilities of the distribution platform, and strictly review the listing. The Provincial Communications Administration will continue to track the reported APPs and take further measures depending on the situation to effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of users.
