"Hurry up, don't be late!" 5-year-old Wen Shu pulled her mother into Hangzhou Orange Sky Golden Harvest Cinemas Raffles to watch Despicable Me 4. This was the first time for the mother and daughter to participate in the "I Invite 'Little Migrants' to Watch Movies Event".
On August 11, the cinema welcomed a group of young audiences like Wen Shu, who came from all over the world to Hangzhou to reunite with their parents who work in Hangzhou during the summer vacation. This also marked the official launch of this year's Citizen Love Day·I invite "little migrants" to watch movies.
"It's so rare to watch a movie with my mom!" Wu Zixuan, who is about to enter the first year of high school, was very happy holding the movie ticket. "We haven't watched a movie together for a long time. I am very grateful for the opportunity to bring my child to the cinema today and spend some time with him." Wu Zixuan's mother told reporters that she is from Jinhua and works in Hangzhou. She often participates in volunteer services. Due to work, she and her child are rarely together.
Entering the theater, the lights went out, and the "little migratory birds" who were originally chattering suddenly became quiet. As the movie began to play on the big screen, everyone was quickly immersed in the wonderful plot. "The Minions in the play are very cute, and each one of them is in my heart. And the movie is in English, so I can learn spoken English by the way." Wu Zixuan said.
The Citizens' Love Day·I Invite "Little Migrants" to Watch Movies event is hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee (Municipal Civilization Office). The event organized 26 screenings of many excellent summer hits suitable for teenagers, such as "Despicable Me 4", "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf: Guardian", "Reverse Life", "Catching Dolls", etc., and invited the children of front-line workers in Hangzhou's power, sanitation, takeout, volunteer service organizations and other industries, especially the "little migratory birds" who came to Hangzhou for summer vacation to watch movies. As a traditional project of Hangzhou Citizens' Love Day, the event will last until August 18, and a total of more than 3,000 movie tickets will be issued, covering 13 districts, counties (cities) in Hangzhou, so that the "little migratory birds" can feel the warmth and charm of the city of Hangzhou, enrich their summer cultural life, and spend a wonderful summer.
