From August 8 to 9, the 2024 "Jiyuan High-tech Cup" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, hosted by the Jiyuan Demonstration Zone Industrial Information and Technology Bureau and undertaken by the Jiyuan High-tech Industrial Development Zone, was held in the Jiyuan Internet + Incubation Park. Xue Tianling, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Demonstration Zone Industrial Information and Technology Bureau, and Wang Zhe, member of the Party Leadership Group of the High-tech Industrial Development Zone, attended the opening ceremony.

According to the arrangements of the Henan Division of the 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the Jiyuan Division of the 16th Henan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the competition is themed "Gathering because of innovation, moving towards innovation", with the goal of stimulating innovation potential, gathering entrepreneurial resources, and giving birth to new products, new technologies, new models and new business formats. It has attracted many high-quality innovative and entrepreneurial enterprises (projects) in the demonstration zone to actively participate.

A total of 27 companies (projects) registered for this competition, covering multiple fields such as new generation information technology, new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection, and divided into start-up group and growth enterprise group. Representatives of each participating company presented their innovative and entrepreneurial projects with development potential, operability and value to the judges and the audience through PPT explanations, product demonstrations and on-site defense.

During the competition, expert judges conducted a comprehensive review of the participating projects in terms of technology and products, business models and implementation plans, industries and markets, team building, and financial analysis. They also conducted professional and detailed inquiries, comments, and guidance on the participating projects from multiple dimensions, including innovation leadership, business models, legal risks, development status, and market prospects.

It is understood that this competition is an important event for Jiyuan on innovation and entrepreneurship, and an important measure to implement the innovation-driven development strategy. Jiyuan High-tech Industrial Development Zone has hosted the Demonstration Zone Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for four consecutive years, with a total of 89 projects participating in the competition, providing an innovation and entrepreneurship stage for innovators and entrepreneurs in the demonstration zone that integrates project display, capital docking, technology introduction, and market promotion. "In recent years, we have always been committed to building and using this competition platform well, creating a good innovation and entrepreneurship ecology, constantly exploring and developing new economic growth models, consolidating the support of new quality productivity industries, and accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system, so that more high-tech, high-quality development potential, and good market prospects can stand out, and promote the high-quality development of the high-tech zone with high-level innovation, and make greater contributions to the comprehensive construction of an innovative and high-quality modern demonstration zone." Wang Zhe said at the event.
