The main content of the "Announcement" is that it is prohibited to carry electric means of transportation when taking rail transit, including electric bicycles, electric motorcycles and electric mopeds, balance bikes, electric scooters, etc. (except for electric wheelchairs used by disabled people themselves); it is prohibited to carry lithium batteries without standard signs or single lithium batteries with a rated energy of more than 100Wh (if the lithium battery is not directly marked with the rated energy Wh, it can be calculated as Wh=V×mAh/1000).

The Announcement will come into effect on September 1, 2024 and will be valid for five years.

Modern Express reporters learned that Suzhou Metro will publicly display the "Announcement" at the security entrances of each station, conduct on-site security checks in accordance with the law, and if passengers are found carrying dangerous items, they will be handled in accordance with relevant regulations.
