"At present, the annual production scale of 500 million ampere-hours of lithium-ion batteries, 2.5 billion watt-hours of power lithium-ion batteries and 1 billion ampere-hours of power energy storage batteries has been formed. We conduct in-depth research on battery cell material systems, continuously pursue the ultimate safety, energy efficiency and long cycle of energy storage technology, and enhance the core competitiveness of the enterprise." Since the beginning of this year, Yichong District, Zhumadian City, Henan Province has been focusing on the fields of advanced manufacturing and automation, new materials, new energy and energy conservation, biology and new medicines, and continuously cultivating high-tech enterprises. As of now, Yichong District has 33 high-tech enterprises.
Yicheng District firmly follows the "Huashan Road" of innovation-driven high-quality development, improves project driving mechanisms, investment guarantee mechanisms, and collaborative innovation mechanisms, strengthens innovation entities, builds innovation platforms, upgrades innovation carriers, strengthens talent support, and does a good job in "attracting, cultivating, using, and retaining" to activate key variables of scientific and technological innovation. A new modern electronic information industry park with an investment of 1.5 billion yuan and an area of 300 acres has been planned and built; the Zhongqiao Semiconductor Project fills the gaps in the city's chip packaging and integrated circuit industries. The number of Yicheng District R&D platforms has increased from 42 in 2021 to 72 at present, an increase of 71.4%, providing solid support for the construction of a modern Yicheng.
In terms of platform construction, Yicheng District actively guides and helps enterprises to build their own or jointly build R&D platforms, strives to create high-level R&D platforms, and enhances the R&D capabilities of enterprises. Last year alone, three provincial engineering technology research centers, three municipal engineering technology research centers, and three municipal key laboratories were recognized.
In order to promote technological innovation, Yicheng District has built 68 provincial and municipal R&D platforms, including 15 provincial engineering technology research centers, 47 municipal engineering technology research centers, and 6 municipal key laboratories. Last year alone, among the national science and technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, Yicheng District had 53 registered, selected one "gazelle" of Henan Province, newly recognized one municipal incubator, and one municipal maker space. So far, one provincial incubator, four municipal incubators, and four municipal maker spaces have been built.
In order to improve services, Yicheng District actively promoted in-depth cooperation between key enterprises and universities, and introduced one academician and seven doctors to participate in the company's research and development, giving full play to the scientific research and talent advantages of colleges and universities, and promoting the effective and accurate docking of innovative resources. More than ten companies including CIMC Huajun Vehicle Co., Ltd., Xinchuang Pipe Pile Accessories Co., Ltd., CIMC Huajun Casting Co., Ltd., and Zhongtian Jinjun Vehicle Co., Ltd. implemented 87 scientific and technological achievements transformation projects and obtained 53 patents.
