Recently, Doug Cockle, the voice actor of Geralt in "The Witcher" series, revealed in a YouTube program that Geralt will still appear in this game in some form.

He said: "The Witcher 4 has been announced. I can't reveal any information yet. We only know that Geralt will join the game, but we don't know how much participation. The focus of this game is not Geralt, so this story is not about him, and we don't know who this time is about."

Doug Cockle previously said in an interview with IGN that future new games will be away from Geralt, and he speculated that Ciri might become the next protagonist. He also believes that Ciri's playable chapter in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a way for CDPR to pass on the torch to her and make her the next protagonist of the series.

The Witcher 4 will enter development later this year, with a team of more than 400 people on the project.
