Zhitong Finance APP learned thatTesla(TSLA.US) website shows that Tesla has stopped accepting orders for the cheapest version of its electric pickup truck Cybertruck, priced at $61,000, while the $100,000 version of Cybertruck can be ordered immediately and delivered as early as this month.

The supply and demand of Cybertruck has been closely watched by Tesla investors and fans, as Tesla CEO Musk has invested a lot of resources in the development of Cybertruck and plans to produce 200,000 Cybertrucks per year. Just last October, Musk said that the number of orders for Cybertruck had reached 1 million.

However, since the range of the higher-priced version of Cybertruck is lower than originally predicted, many customers now prefer the cheaper version of Cybertruck.

Data from Cox Automotive shows that Cybertruck sales in July this year were close to 4,800, which was its best month so far and the best-selling vehicle priced over $100,000 in the U.S. so far. A spokesperson for Cox Automotive said: "We have sold more than 16,000 Cybertrucks so far, but it will be a challenge to maintain high sales at this price point."

Musk said in November last year that Cybertruck is a great product, but financially, it will take one to 18 months for the product to become a significant positive cash flow contributor. He also said that the new technology involved in the car will increase the difficulty of manufacturing, "We are digging our own grave in developing Cybertruck."
