Yesterday, the pre-exhibition supply and demand matching meeting of the equipment and automobile exhibition areas of the 7th CIIE was held. Asahi Kasei, which has participated in the exhibition for three consecutive years, is a comprehensive chemical manufacturer with a history of more than 100 years. According to Kondo Shuji, chairman of Asahi Kasei (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Asahi Kasei plans to showcase technologies such as ion exchange membranes at this year's CIIE.
"In the past, the Chinese market was seen as a competitive production base, but now it has been re-evaluated as a 'huge market for creating new technologies'. China should also be a market for the implementation of new technologies. We will focus on investing in 10 key business areas promoted globally, with a focus on automotive interior materials, digital solutions and bioprocessing." Kondo Shuji believes that the CIIE is a valuable opportunity to promote co-creation. Externally, new business opportunities are obtained by promoting Asahi Kasei's engineering plastics, automotive interior materials and semiconductors and other solutions to co-creation partners in the automotive field; internally, communication between business lines has also been strengthened, creating business opportunities that cannot be achieved by a single business unit.
Takahiro Yamamoto, director of Toray (China) Investment Co., Ltd., introduced that Toray participated in the CIIE for the first time last year and brought a number of functional cutting-edge products. In 2024, Toray will focus on the field of smart green mobile transportation and exhibit many automotive material products and high-quality solutions. At the same time, it will also focus on the group's R&D advantages and bring the innovative composite spinning technology it has developed. "China is currently still maintaining a high economic growth rate, and it remains a very attractive market for the Toray Group. So far, we have invested in multiple bases in China. Thanks to the strong support of the local government and a sound business mechanism, each project has been implemented as planned. In the future, with the further improvement of China's investment environment and the increase of various industrial clusters, we firmly believe that the supply chain will be further optimized."
Metsoren General Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. from Spain focuses on the research and development and sales of intelligent instruments for ultrasonic flowmeters. Last year, Metsoren also released an intelligent ultrasonic flowmeter for the first time at the CIIE, which received a good market response.
Shi Technology, a manned eVTOL company that pioneered the development of tilt-rotor configuration in the low-altitude economy, will exhibit real aircraft at the 7th CIIE. "We will exhibit at the Malaysia National Pavilion and the Future Travel Exhibition Area of the Automobile Pavilion at the same time. The Malaysia National Pavilion will exhibit a scaled model, and the low-altitude travel area will bring the E20 electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle with a wingspan of 12 meters, a capacity of 5 people, and a maximum height of nearly 4 meters. During the CIIE, we will launch the world's first interior system, including wireless charging and other functions. There are also new explorations of future application scenarios. Visitors can scan the code to book routes, bringing a smart travel experience." Xu An, brand director of Shi Technology, introduced.
At the matchmaking meeting, 28 exhibitors from the technical equipment exhibition area made their debut in advance, including Keyence, Hexagon, Ingersoll Rand, Otis, Kärcher, Brother, etc. The matchmaking content covered various industries such as digital industrial automation, new materials, energy low-carbon and environmental protection technology, integrated circuits, metal processing, aerospace, etc. In the automobile exhibition area, 9 exhibitors including Ford, Tesla, Yamaha, Webasto, etc. made their debut.
It is reported that the preparations for the CIIE have entered the sprint stage. The exhibition recruitment work for the business exhibition has been basically completed, the registration of professional visitors has been fully launched, supporting activities have been accepted for application, and precise investment promotion and supply and demand matching have been continuously strengthened. The business exhibition will continue to set up six exhibition areas for technical equipment, automobiles, food, medical care, consumer goods, and service trade, as well as an innovation incubation area.
