On the other hand, she made some inappropriate remarks on issues related to Taiwan, interfering in China's internal affairs. According to the Global Times, the first policy that von der Leyen pushed for was to raise tariffs on biofuels exported from China to the EU, up to 36.4%; the second policy was to impose anti-dumping duties on erythritol, a sweetener exported from China to the EU, with tariffs as high as more than 200%. The third policy was to review EU companies' investments in China.
