Red Net Time News August 7th(Reporter Ou Luoxi and Li Hongke) Recently, the "Seeking Light on Palms, Blooming Mountain Flowers" summer practice group of the School of Public Administration of Central South University came to Shuizhu Village Complete Primary School in Xinhua County, Loudi City, Hunan Province, and brought a 10-day digital education summer camp to the children there. The slogan of this activity is "Seeking Light, Becoming Light", which aims to help children in mountain villages get rid of their excessive dependence on the Internet through special courses, so that children can shift their attention from the small electronic screen to the infinite beauty around them.
During the event, volunteers set up interesting classes including Internet literacy, health first aid, art and craft, poetry, pipa, and folk song classes, leading the children to continuously explore in the fields of traditional cultural inheritance, modern technology application, theoretical course learning, and handicraft course expansion, truly enhancing the children's learning enthusiasm and creativity, promoting learning through fun, and promoting thinking through learning.

In the Internet literacy class, volunteer Zhu Peng used an easy-to-understand educational method to help the children learn to view and use the Internet dialectically, and learn to protect their personal safety and privacy rights; in the handicraft class, volunteer Su Yuan let the children experience the fun of making round fans and origami, inspiring their artistic talent and imagination; in the poetry class, volunteer Huang Shuyu led the children into the splendid world of poetry, participated in the creation of collage poems, and showed their unique observations and feelings about life; volunteer Peng Yanlin's pipa class was full of fun, with music floating in the air. The children tried to pluck the strings, and slightly unfamiliar notes jumped out one by one; the folk song class of Huang Youhua, the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of folk songs, allowed the children to express their love for the mountains through melodious and high-pitched singing.
Under the guidance of young volunteers, the children showed their learning results in the activities. The exquisite round fans, poems full of childlike fun, and melodious songs are all witnesses of the children's growth. The childish words on the "Escape from Mobile Diary" check-in record book are the children's experience of using the Internet correctly, and are also a record of the children's growth in feeling life.

The survey results made the team members more eager to help children stay away from "Internet addiction" through this summer camp activity, guide them to develop positive and healthy interests and hobbies, and appreciate the vast world beyond mobile phones.
At the closing ceremony, Jiang Zhaoyi, secretary of the Youth League Committee of Caojia Town Government, and He Lunkai, deputy secretary, expressed their gratitude and blessings to the volunteers, praising the students from Central South University for not only bringing the light of knowledge to the children of Shuizhu Village, but also sowing the seeds of dreams.
