One year ago, Beijing was hit by the "23.7" torrential rain, and the water levels of rivers and lakes in Mentougou District soared, and many areas were in danger. Soldiers of a mobile detachment of the Beijing Armed Police Corps rushed to the rescue mission, rescued trapped trains, searched and rescued trapped people, transferred trapped victims, fully supported reconstruction, worked continuously, and successfully completed the task. Over the past year, the two sides have carried out joint construction activities many times, continuously promoting the expansion and extension of military-civilian coordination and linkage to a wider range, deeper level, and higher level.
Due to the urgency of the "23.7" flood relief mission, some soldiers had to postpone their original wedding plans. In order to make up for this regret, the Mentougou District Committee and District Government specially planned a collective wedding event and held a grand wedding for the soldiers.
On the wedding day, 22 couples boarded wedding cars and slowly entered the wedding site in Yanchi Town along the road that had been used for disaster relief. The newlyweds, dressed in formal attire, walked hand in hand into the palace of marriage under the witness of their families and comrades-in-arms, and the audience gave the newlyweds their most sincere blessings.
