In April this year, before Xiao Baxian went to Nanjing for a concert, he consulted me. Based on my experience five years ago, I said that he definitely couldn't even think about singing - he wasn't good enough five years ago, and he's definitely worse now, so he should just listen to it for the sake of sentiment and as a good memory.
Everyone knows what happened later - the sentiments were gone, and the good memories were gone. Five years ago, I listened to her singing from beginning to end. This time, there was an extra so-called agent, who was everywhere, filling the venue with water and making a mess. What made Xiao Baxian most angry was that her favorite old songs were all sung by He Yin. Even though the organizers called it a "meeting concert" very cunningly from the beginning, the audience was not there to meet Miss He Yin and Mr. He Yin after all. Fortunately, this incident did not dampen my enthusiasm for watching live performances, because it was saved in time by Luo Dayou's "Chun Long". Luo Dayou, who will be 70 years old in two months, brought a group of young people to sing his classic old songs again in various ways.
I have two impressions: First, Luo Dayou is amazing - back then, he was a pioneer, a newcomer, and a pioneer in many aspects. Now I find that his works have completely withstood the test of time and are still so beautiful and profound. Second, Luo Dayou's words and deeds are also: be good to young people and believe in young people.
My other sister watched almost all the concerts in Shanghai this year, and she thought the best one was Karen Mok's "big show" at the Shanghai Stadium. Although I saw very little, I agree with this view. Karen Mok is four years older than the one in Nanjing, and is officially over 50 years old, but she is in such great shape that it is not an exaggeration to say that she is in her prime. After the playlist for the Beijing concert was leaked, I reviewed it thoroughly while working out, and also learned two new songs.
It is also worth mentioning that Luo Dayou's "Spring Dragon" was my first time to visit Qiantan 31 Performing Arts Center. I had only been to the shopping area before, and I couldn't tell the difference between the wooden area and the stone area. I didn't expect that there was such a performance venue hidden next to it. Luo Dayou said that the reason why everyone's chorus (except for a few songs in Minnan dialect, almost every song of his was a chorus of the whole audience) was so beautiful was because Qiantan 31 was not actually suitable for microphones. It was designed for vibration and resonance, in order to transmit the sound to every corner. His words made me look forward to Zhang Qingfang later. I don't know how Ah Fang will "string together every moment" here.
When Zhang Qingfang held a concert at Taipei Arena in the summer of 2023, I was so jealous because I couldn't go. I didn't expect that after a lot of twists and turns, the white moonlight actually shone on Shanghai. It was my friend in Taipei who informed me in reverse. He was watching the new season of "My Song" on Tomato TV there, and saw the news of the Shanghai concert, and he couldn't wait to call me.
