The Guiyang Institute of Information Technology was jointly established by the Institute of Software of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the city of Guiyang. The institute is rooted in the development of big data in Guiyang and has gradually formed a research and development direction with advantages in big data, the Internet of Things, and blockchain. In the field of blockchain, based on the concept of "sovereign blockchain" proposed by Guiyang City, the Institute of Software and the Guiyang Municipal Government established the "Blockchain Technology and Application Joint Laboratory", integrating resources from Beijing and Guiyang to form a research and development team of more than 40 people, building an open source community and open source 14 projects, focusing on the research and development of the autonomous and controllable blockchain underlying platform "Xianglian", which will help to get rid of dependence on foreign blockchain technology and form a completely autonomous and controllable blockchain industry ecosystem.
